    I want to delete an item on my right click short cut menu that I got after I installed some freeware. I uninstalled the freeware and still have the listing. The item appears on the menu I get when I right click to download a Quicktime file as "Save Target As ". How can I delete this item from the menu? Thanks.

    Thanks but I tried it

    Thanks for your help. I read the article and tried what it suggested but I could not find the listings where it said I would in the registry. I looked everywhere in the registry but no luck. I deleted the references to the freewware in the registry and on my harddrive as well. Any other ideas? Thanks again!

    This is along the lines of the instruction from the webpage. The link did not explain how to do specific file types. Two of the file extensions for Quicktime are QIF and QT. There are others, but I do not have Quicktime installed so I cannot give you all of them, this link should. All you need to do is add the word 'file' to the extension to find what you are looking for, ie, for QIF you go to;
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\qiffile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
    Under that key should be what you are looking for. Repeat for each file extension.
    For QT you go to
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\qtfile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
    I think you get the idea.
