right click, open link in new window

Something happened and when I use this my new window is a very narrow vertical bar, requiring a second click to open fully.

How do I change the default size of the newly opened window?

The first thing to try is resizing the window, then hold Ctrl while closing the window.
If this method does not work;

1.Close all instances of Internet Explorer
2.Start the Registry Editor
3.Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \Internet Explorer \ Main
4.Delete the value Window_Placement
5.Exit the Registry Editor

The next time IE is used it will open the default size window.
