right click menu in winxp empty??

    for the first time i am using winxp home eddition.
    past,copy,cut are greyed out in right click menu, i did install many file into the registry to fix it, but no luck ..my computer is not listed in start menu.
    any idea
    thank you

    Create another user account and then log on with it. If the problem has vanished, you have a corrupt user account and need to get rid of it. Good instructions Here.

    Otherwise, please amplify some on "i did install many file into the registry to fix it ".
