As far as I can tell, it is still the original file (for OE6 on XP SP2) being offered.

The following auto-notify updates (see jpg) were offered April 25, 2006.
One of the conflicts I had with kb908531 was with my nVidia Display drivers (known issue, along with others). My monitor / display had been running fine, I'm not a gamer so I have not updated then for a long time. With kb90531 installed and I right clicked any open space on Desktop, cursor busy for about 4 to 5 seconds. During this time verclsid.exe was added/active to running processes (Task Manager view). When dialog screen finally popped to Desktop, verclsid.exe removed itself from running processes. I updated my nVidia display adapter drivers (prior to April, 25) to current version, no more problem. Now when I right click on open space on Desktop, dialog pops to screen and NO verclsid.exe process starts in running processes. I also have HP2610 printer installed, but did not have any web share programs installed. So I was curious if any updates/fixes would be offered on the 25th since MS stated it would only be offered to those who required it. I was surprised when I received a update notify on the 25th. But after reviewing the updates, I installed them since they did not pertain to kb908531 issues.

    Hi Dennis!

I have an old GeForce2 MX100/200 running on the default XP-SP2 drivers (5.6.7.3). I have a HP 4300C scanner and a HP 930C printer. I had no problems with KB908531. Yesterday, I installed KB908531-v2 and still no problems after that. (KB908531-v2 was not offered through automatic updates. I reviewed MS06-015 and noticed the new version.)

    Morning Christer!

When I received my notification icon, loaded IE6 and traveled to MS update site. I chose "Express/High Priority" option and received the two previously stated updates. My motto, if MS does not offer via "Critical - now High Priority ", I stop with the updates. One gets nervous when MS has difficulty managing / updating / fixing a mature OS (XP) in light of Vista's future release being the savior for the "World of Operating Systems ". In my humble opinion, the biggest gain for Linux OS user base is when XP ages past maintenance/update phase. ;) :D ... Thoughts from a tiring MS user.

I too only install High Priority ... :p ... updates. I don't have any other (what ever they are called nowadays) updates at all installed. Until yesterday, that is ... ... I consider KB900485 to be "No High Priority" but it was offered as such and now the same with KB911567 which MS has relabeled.
