Hi All, ................... After updating my Mozilla to 1.7.5 from 1.7.3, the information in the Sent box is not visible in the right hand panel. When I examine the file through the Profile folder, there is plenty of information there. (or can there be too much, 16MB?) What say the experts, how do I get to read selected e-mails?

If there not too much info before, there should not be now. But if you did the upgrade by installing on top of 1.7.3, and used the the same profile, there could be some grief. This happened to me with 1.7 to 1.7.1. I ended up uninstalling, and reinstalling in another directory plus creating a new profile. And, I have been doing this ever since. It is not necessary to create a new profile as long as yo uninstall the previous version.
You may just try to delete the Sent.msf file in your profile folder, with mozilla closed. It seems like a corrupted header file, and try to archive those Sent e-mails. I would be horrified to try to find something in a 16 MB file
    /folder.

Hi Westwood, .............. Finally I got the upgraded Mozilla working. But since you brought up the question regarding installing on top of Mozilla 1.7.3 let me tell you what I had done before the upgrade. I made a backup copy of the M1.7.3 Profile folder. Then I uninstalled M1.7.3 with the Add/Remove of Control Panel. I then deleted all references to Mozilla. This should have prepared the computer for a clean install of M1.7.5.

After the download and installation of M1.7.5, I then copied and pasted the various files from the backup Profile folder. All other parts, Address, Bookmarks, etc., except the Send folder in Mail appeared to be OK. Using your suggestion I removed the send.msf file, but that did not help, the Send condition remained the same.

Finally, I went back into the new installation and changed the name of the M1.7.5 Profile Folder and dragged and dropped the backup copy of the M1.7.3 Profile in its place. After that I used the profile name from M1.7.3 copy and everything is now working.

Thank you for your interest and I must admit that I can't explain why the situation is now changed other than a glitch in the copying and pasting.

Everything is usually working ok without the pains you took. Although, I have been more confortable starting with a brand new profile, in which I pasted the copied bookmarks.html file. Then, I enter my accounts, and finally, exit ,and copy/paste the individual Inbox files, but not the .msf files. But, I don't recall doing anything with my Sent file.
