Today, I inadvertently deleted an Outlook 2003 Distribution List. Does anyone know if it is recoverable and if so the proper steps? Thanks

Have you been using the built in backup function? Might be able to restore contacts.

Steve, I am just learning how to navigate this site. Thanks for your patience.

I have created an individual contact list in an Outlook file other than in the distribution list that was deleted. I'll need to learn how to migrate that into a usable distribution list. Any idea how to do that? Is this the built in back up that you referred to? Perhaps there is a better way to prevent and remedy this in the future.

Thanks very much for your advice and reply.

If you click on Contacts and then do FILE->NEW->you'll see the option to create a new list.

Also, under FILE, you should see the option to BACKUP.

New Outlook 2003 DL & Back up

Great Thanks! Will it permit me to migrate all 250 contacts in one shot or must I enter them one at a time?

I am still unable to migrate contacts into The Distribution List Folder. However I can broadcast email to selective or all contacts by selecting each individual contact while holding control key. Talk about legacy operations.

Does anybody else know how to accomplish this migration of Outlook 2003 contacts into the Distribution List Folder without retyping each contact?

    Thanks

If you click on Contacts and then do FILE->NEW->you'll see the option to create a Distribution new list.

Then you you should see an option to "Select Members "
You might have to change the "Show Names from the" to Contacts.
