Restoring pane configuration after startup

Consider a system with multiple monitors, where various programs are desired to be in certain locations on each one. Likewise, the programs must be closed out and the system shut down each night.

Is there a way to launch these programs into the desired window pane configurations, on the various monitors, automatically, instead of having to drag them into the locations each time? Ideally this would include a shortcut to open the programs needed.

I am unaware of a way to do this in native Windows. Is there an app which can accomplish this?
