    Hi,

Yesterday my laptop screen flashed blue with a bunch of text on it. The screen was only visible for about half a second before my laptop restarted so I couldn't read it. It did this numerous times and I ended up using the restore cd that came when I purchased my laptop. Unfortunately it did this one more time after I restored. As of now it has stopped. I have all my important stuff on an external HD the worst thing in the world but rather a giant pain. I'm pretty sure it was the blue screen of death Anyway, after this my wireless isn't the same as it was before. It seems to cut out frequently. When I click view available wireless networks a new type of screen shows up that doesn't allow me to save my network password. I would like to go back to this network screen to save my password.

I have the "use windows to configure my wireless network" box checked but I still have the other screen pop up. The screen that currently pops up is similar to this one.

If this makes sense or if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

    Welcome to WindowsBBS rgkj3 :)

When you refer to saving your password, do you mean the encryption key for a secure network? If so, on either type of screen you will need to select the encrypted network you want to connect to, then click the Advanced (Change advanced settings) button.
