Hey WindowsBBS guys! I hope i can finally get a straight answer to this question.

In mi familia I am generally the only vision inclined person. So because other people that use the PC can't read the fonts and see the icons at a higher resolution, Ive been forced to use 800x600 for some time now. It's not that bad until i get an very large flashbased webpage and need to switch it.

I have found out that the resolution settings are saved somewhere in the registry or something that cannot be saved from user to user. But I was wondering: Is there a free program or code snippet that I can add to the startup files to change the resolution when I log on to my specific user name, but keeping the other users at 800x600?

I have already searched (a few pages of) the forums and the web for this, but only came up one that costs $.

I look forward to seeing how this is done because ive wondered for some time now.

    Thank you

UniqueDisplay ->If you change your monitor resolution under Windows XP, it gets changed for every user on the computer, forcing you to reset your favorite resolution each time, or agree on a common solution. UniqueDisplay takes care of these shortcomings, allowing each user to have their own desktop resolution. The program supports multi-monitor configurations and fast user switching. There is no interface, the program installs to run automatically at startup. When you login, it will automatically reset the resolution to your previous configuration, there is a small delay and your desktop items are still re-arranged, but at least you don't have to change the settings manually.
