My pc resets itself to a resolution similiar to "safe" mode, fonts and screen res, not wallpaper when off. If a restart is done it is okay but if off for a while it gets reset and I have to do a restore to the previous day to get my settings back.
Is there a way to force my settings to hold? Is there something I should be looking for in my reg entries? Could it be a type of pestware? Ideas?

First steps would be to check the seating of your video card and to re-install your video drivers

I doubt it is spyware, but no harm in running Spybot and AdAware - look for updates before running and run Spybot before AdAware
