Hi, in my wXPproSP2, the scrollbars seems to have defaulted to pale grey. I did try modifying the appearance, but I thought I had reset back to default (blue bar on grey background). I can't seem to locate where to modify the settings for this again (I looked in display appearance, TWEAKUI, and folder properties).

Also, without any tweaking from me, the taskbar seems to randomly lose its color & the "notification area" (system tray) loses its button for showing hidden items. How can I get back the default blue color & the button? (registry suggestions ok). Thanks.

Try this out - has worked for others in the past ....

Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! - it's from a very reputable source - Kelly's Korner.

Can't help you re. scroll bars as I run XP in Classic mode with grey scroll bars.
