Our father-in law gave our daughters a pc PIII 800 MHz 256 ram. and The mb needs to be replaced I have a ECS P4VMM2 for it and a stick of 512 ram with aP4 2.0 MHz. Question 1 : Can I pull out the MB, ram and chip and replace it with the different set. The HD is a WD 30G loaded with 2000 pro. Question 2 : the ECS makes 8 versions of the P4VMM2, from a V1.1A, V1.3, V3.1, V3.2A, V5.0A, V7.1, V7.3 and a V8.1. How do I know witch one I have. Thanks

As long as they are both ATX mainboards than yes, you physically can make the swap.

I would also suggest wiping the OS and reinstalling it fresh whenever you change mainboards.
