Will replacing the battery in my computer wipe the bios clean? If so, is there a way I can copy the settings and reinstall after I replace the battery?

When I add more ram will I need to go into the bios and change the setting there or will will it get changed when Windows recognizes the change?

Just trying to prepare myself before I jump in. :)

The only thing the battery does is hold the BIOS settings. When the battery is replaced, te BIOS will use its default settings. If you have custom settings you'll need to wrtie them down.

You shouldn't have to enter the BIOS when adding more ram. Dell computers for example will propmpt you to press F1 during bootup when it detects a change.
