Repetative lost internet connection

I have noticed a llot of postings recentlly about repetative lost internet connecting, with no real resolution. I have been having the same issues on my new laptop. My wifes laptop has had no issues on the same network. I stumble onto a solution that you may want to try. I was downloading new virus definition in macafee and noticed on the side bar there was a link for "MANAGE NETWORK ". When i clicked on the link it asked me if i wanted to trust the current network. I clicked yes, network went off line and came back and since then i have had no issues at all with connectivity. You may want to check your firewall, or virus scan software to check if your network is trusted. it did not effect my wifes laptop beause she is running windows vista and has had her live one care configured to trust the network already. i ahd jsut installed macafee when th problems started and had not set it to trust the network. this might fix your issues as well, or not. but i have had full connectvity with no drops since i made the changes.

Although I'm not a big McAfee fan (generally I don't like it) But it may save me from saying uninstall it, and re-install it again.
Note: a fresh install of McAfee will prompt the User to trust found networks.
