    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

Please do not tag onto an existing thread - always start your own - your problem is entirely different. Post moved to a new thread.

The BIOS is looking for an OS to boot from - there is no OS installed :)

Curious to know why you are trying to boot the computer without an OS?

The BIOS is generally entered by pressing F1 or Del at the splash screen - often there is a note to this effect at the bottom of the screen. Your motherboard manual should tell you which key to press to enter the BIOS. If you don't have a copy of the manual it can be downloaded here .....

    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=manual&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1883

Once you have installed the OS you will need to install the chipset, etc drivers available here ....

    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1883

These would normally be supplied on a CD supplied with the motherboard.

The thing thats tickin me off though is the fact that i have to clear the CMOS to even get te "SPLASH" screen, is that normal??

I expect so, BIOSes are set to "Quick Boot" (or similar terminology), where they don't go through POST (self-checks), they just load the last settings. You can turn that off in the BIOS, look through the BIOS information in the motherboard manual.

I start tapping the key to enter the BIOS as soon as I see the monitor power LED go green.

If Pete didn't mention it, if you want to boot to a CD/DVD, you might need to change the startup boot options in the BIOS and set the CD/DVD drive to boot before the hard disk drive.
