For some reason this cool new program I found; "Ava Find ", has added itself to the "My Computer" Folder along with my drives. Wth, I've never seen a program do that before...
I can't seem to find a way to remove it without uninstalling the whole program. It's still there after removing it from the autorun list.
Any thoughts on how to get it out of there?

    Thanks

Btw, if anyone cares, Ava Find is a nice freeware replacement for the windows file search. It's 100X faster, and searches as you type.

After checking out the product information... HERE
I couldn't locate anything that would explain why it was listed in your 'MyComputer' section of Windows. My *guess* is maybe it's a shortcut to access the program from there. Maybe you should contact the company and ask them.
Also for futher clarification, AvaFind is not freeware, they are offering a 30 day trial. After that it's 39.95 for a single license or 19.95 for a yearly subscription.

Thank for the reply, but I figured it out on my own. I made the following edit:

    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2052111302-1364589140-1801674531-1003\Software\Classes\CLSID\{d1099d29-fe45-462e-b8c3-10a97e827b7a}\ShellFolder]
    "Attributes "=dword:00000020

Nothing more than changing this one dword value from 10 to 20. After this I was able to simply drag the offending icon to the trash.
I'm not sure how or why it works, but I does.

I was under the impression that the "Pro" features were 30day, but the remaining features continued. I guess I'll find out the details in a month.
