I foolishly set up Rest Reminder when I installed WinXP. It has become a nuisance and I've been unable to find out how to remove it. HELP !!!

I'm assuming that "rest reminders" are some sort of notices to take a short break from the computer.

Where/how did you set it up? I'm not familiar with any native program that will do this. Several 3rd party apps but not anything built in to XP.

    Rest Reminder

Newt - Thanks for the comment -- If Memory Serves and it may not I thought I set up Rest Reminder when I installed WinXP. I have difficulty in trying to associate it with any other pr0ogram I have installed.

You've already looked through add/remove and msconfig for it?

Dazy - I may be that village idiot you have expressed concern about but neither add/remove or msconfig yield a clue as to the program responsible for Rest Reminder, but then I hardly claim to be a super geek:eek:

Nice try Don...but that position's filled!

So...... you can identify everything that's checked under msconfig?

Have you tried to do a search for files and folders?

Lastly... how about www.belarc.com for telling you what you've got installed?

Solved -- A GOOGLE word search for Rest Reminder identified my Kensington Mouse settings as the source of the reminder which is now silenced
    ;)
    Thanks for the mental stimulation!!
