    Hi,

I have recently moved a RAID card from one machine to another. On the machine where the RAID card was, the hardware no longer appears in Device Manager as expected, but I presume that the device driver is still present.

Where do I find unused device drivers and how should they be removed? How would I determine if there are any other drivers present that are no longer used by any devices/hardware?

    Regards Basher

One sure fire way would be to hook it all back up and delete it from device manager. (really a hint for "next time ")

I wouldn't worry them. One wrong step.....

"Most" of the files are located here: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers

    Hi,

That was a fast reply. I will fit the card back into the machine and do it that way. Good idea, a pain to do though.

    Many thanks Basher

Is a pain - but a safe pain and not anything compared to the agony of removing the wrong stuff and trashing the PC.
