    Hello merrilee,

Do the following: go to this link http://www.windowsbbs.com/links.php and do the on-line AV scans.

The System Restore entries can be eliminated by disabling SR - Control Panel > System > File System. There move the slider all the way to the left: zero %, then reboot and go back in and re-enable by moving the slider to the right.

Then Download HijackThis. Download it to it's own folder - unzip (double click on zipped folder) - click on the execute - click scan button - click save log and save to the folder you just created - DO NOT FIX ANYTHING - copy resultant .txt file and paste into your next post. Please also post the results of the AV scans.

This thread will be moved to the Security/Virus Removal section after you post back the logs.

    Regards - Charles
