I am trying to remove the option active desktop from a windows 98 machine,

I was going to use Icon lock but thought it would be better taking it out of the registry, however i cannot seem to find it anywhere.

    Any help is appreciated.

jonno001--It is perhaps easier to turn off Active Desktop than to remove it.
    From Windows Explorer (Win98) Help
"You can also turn Active Desktop on or off by clicking Start, pointing to Settings, pointing to Active Desktop, and then clicking View as Web Page. " A check means it is on. No check means it is off.
