Hi; I notice that a new search bar or toll bar was installed without my permission in internet explorer, also I found folders in my "favorites" which I already deleted, but I can not delete the search bar, it has this name "rprbchmxeag ".
I look info about it but found nothing. When i opened "my connections tab in the internet options I saw a new one besides my original and I deleted it too, I think it was a dialer but I am not sure.
I tried already with spybot but it could not remove it because it does not detect it.
Is there a way to remove it ? or where in windows explorer does the search bar are? or any help about it.
    Thank you

    caraloca Hi
Do you have the latest verson ? 1.2 and have you updated with the latest referance file.
You could get Adaware also:Downloads - Support - Lavasoft: http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/
    Update it before scanning
But usualy spybot finds things quicker .
    also try a trojan scaner
" "You can test Anti-Trojan fully featured for 14 days" "
    Update it before scanning.Anti-Trojan Download:
    http://www.anti-trojan.net/en/download.aspx

another thing to try (with all IE's closed) from control panel , internet options , advanced untick [ ] enable third party browser extentions, hit apply then OK , restart PC.
Also check within addremove programs for it or anything you didnt install, but It might not be there, and uninstall if found.
start ,run , type msconfig hit enter use the startup tab ,
write down everything and post here, then cancel out.

    are you familur with MSCONFIG?
when askings questions please include youre OS and version of IE

    Regards
    Lonny

Oh yes it will, but not in spy/adware search and clean.

SpyBot has most all the tools to handle Bhos, startups, activeX, browser pages, host file and even windows processes.

On the left panel of SpyBot go to tools.

Look at Browser pages, BHO's closely for this item and delete it.

If Tools is not in the left panel then you have an older SpyBot or you need to go to start-programs-spybot and run the icon that says SpyBot advanced.
