After a program has been removed from my computer it still shows in the add/remove list in the Control Panel. How do I remove it from the Control Panel add/remove list?
    Thanks

define 'removed' mostly. eg - are saying u ran the proper uninstall routine in either the add/rem control panel or the prog's own uninstall? or are u just deleting stuff?

If a program has been correctly uninstalled but an entry for it remains on the Add/Remove Programs list, it requires editing the registry to remove it.

In XP you should be able to just click on it to uninstall it again. It'll see that the program is no longer there and give you the option to remove it from the list (or it should anyway).
