I inherited a Win/XP system from a small corporate environment. I am trying to clean up the system so I can install my "preferred" software. One of the items that I want to go is Symantec A/V. The removal process asks for a
"password ". No seems to know what the password is. Is there a way to "force" removal of software like this?

We can't help you with this on an Open to the Public forum. It would defeat the purpose of using passwords;)

Google would be your best bet at this point.

Thanks for the suggestion. I Google'd that process and within minutes had the
    software removed w/o a password!
