Remove Operating System from Startup List

    Dear All,

    I have a parallell installation of Windows XP and always have to Operating Systems listed at startup, I need to get rid of one of the Operating system from startup list asap but cannot really recall how it is done. I will appreciate is anyone can advice me asap.

    The safest way of achieving this is to ....

    Right Click on My Computer in Windows Explorer > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery - Settings ....

    Select the default OS from the drop down list and - as a safeguard set the time to display a list of operating systems to, say, 3 secs and OK out and reboot.

    If the correct OS boots after 3 seconds you can return to the setting above and set it to 0 seconds.

    Alternatively you can edit the Boot.ini and remove the other OS from there.
