Is there anyway to remove the Notification icon in the taskbar to the right of the clock in the taskbar. There just is nothing in the settings menu to do this. To be honest I don't use the panel anyway but the latest version of Windows they moved it to the right side and now my enlarged clock won't show correctly.

I was disappointed to see the return of the Notification Icon after installing the Anniversary Update too - and particularly upset it appears to the right of the system tray clock. It took me awhile to figure out how to get rid of it, but I did.

Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar, then under Notification area, click on "Turn system icons on or off" and slide the Action Center switch to "Off ". That should do it.

Thanks Bill, That did remove icon but did not my fix my clock issue. Hopefully the creators of the Free Desktop Clock & Atomic Alarm Clock(paid version) will come up with a fix eventually.

Well, I don't know what you use those apps for but note there is an alarm feature in Windows. Just type alarm in the Windows search box to see how it works. Or just click on the clock to open up a bigger display and calendar.

Windows by default, syncs your system clock with the atomic clock once a week. There is an easy Registry tweak to change that to more often or less often. I changed mine to 86400 seconds, which is once every 24 hours.

Actually I don't use alarms, its just the large clock I like.

I'm sure there are many paid customers that are not happy about it. It's all about preferences and thats what I would prefer. Personally I think it should be a feature in Ease of Access in windows. Many people with vision problems would like a larger clock.

Well, I cannot help you there. Changing that text size will affect the whole taskbar so I can see where it will be a problem. No doubt the Anniversary update messed up a bunch of things. I used to have the 7+ Taskbar Tweaker display seconds on the tray clock but the update broke that and we are waiting for a fix there too.

For sure, I recommend you contact Drive Software to add your concerns. I do note on their Facebook page, they acknowledge there is a problem with the program and the Windows 10 Anniversary update. Note the developer released a Beta update Aug 9th.
