[Remove item from right-click context menu]

    Hi I put a encrypt shell on my computer windows xp home ed. it cause me problems so I delete it I could not delete it in add and remove because it didn't show up in there. Now when I mouse right click on a folder it is still there how do I delete it of my menu when I right mouse click .

    You can edit the Registry key at:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

    and delete the offending entry.

    Else, If you can't find it listed there or you don't want to manually edit the Registry, you can get any of the free context menu editors that abound on the Internet. One very simple one that will do the job for you is HERE. There are several more that are for advanced users but I don't think you'll need them.

    BTW,, I found that download site page to be rather misleading so be careful that you download Context Menu Editor 1.0 and not some other misleading link there for other items.
