I am running Windows XP SP3. DVDRW - DV104 Pioneer drive.
Installed Nero 8,unhappy, Uninstalled NERO 8. Now InCD seems to be still controling my drive(when I put in a DVD-RW disc the icon shows incd in explorer and it treats it like a CD). I'm unable to backup to the DVD-RW with MSMoney as I had been doing. After searching net I tried all the following:
RE-installed NERO8 choosing custom install, deselecting InCD, completeing Install. Then Uninstalling NERO8, Ran General removal tool from NERO website, ran regcleaner. Reboot.

Still not change in behavior. Also tried to clear by updating DVD driver from Pioneer. No Change.

Query on google for "Remove Incd" return 86,000+ hits.

Can some one tell me how to restore things back to the way they were?

    Welcome to BBS Wolflover,
Have you tried checking your installed programs & Un-installing it from there? Another option would be to do a system restore to a date & time prior to installing Nero 8
    Regards Jac

Yes I have cleared everything. I called Nero and received a walk through on remaining everything from folders and registry. There is no indication any longer that INCD is installed. BUT in my t-shooting I had to have missed re-installing the proper windows driver for this drive. I've since installed the driver and re-installed from the machine OEM website. If I try to update if says I have the current driver and it shows up as DVDRW -DV104 (Pioneer) until you put in a blank or commercial DVD. It then thinks the drive is CD-ROM/DVD ROM so no writing to disc is possible. Also looking at driver properties it indicates the driver is for a DVDRW\CD-RO drive. I'm not sure how to get it clanged?

    Thanks!
