removal of Java runtime

    Hi all I have a question for you I was looking through my add & remove programs and found some java runtime environment v1.4.2_02, 04,05,06 I don't know if I need all of them can I un install all but the latest version THX

    Yes indeed, and in fact you should uninstall all versions of Java before upgrading to the newest version. The most current version is JRE 5.0 Update 6, which can be downloaded here: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

    Thx for the reply Ramona That sure cleared up some space on my C:\ each one took up about 100meg or more! and with 6 of them!! I need the space! I couldn't even run defrag.(time for spring cleaning) THX again
