    [Inactive]Removal instructions for "Anti-Virus Pro 2010 "

I have identified this on a computer, and need to remove it. I found one set of instructions that indicate it should be removable with the tool MBAM.

My results are different. After installing it, and starting my scan, the scan terminates in 10 seconds or less. Restarting MBAM from the desktop shortcut brings up the following error: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. "

Should I still attempt generating DDS logs? Or is there an agreed-upon method for removing this particular piece of malware, since I've already identified it?

Yes, start with posting DDS logs.

I apologize. Please close the topic, as it's being taken care of by someone else, now.

    Thanks, though. =\
