    HI

    Hi Guys

Does remote desktop allow the person sitting at the host and also another person that is miles away to see the same screen
and work on the pc at the same time or only one at a time.Basically we need to train someone over the telephone to use
    a program.

    Thanks
    Kimmy

Both of you will see the same screen however only one can work on it at a time. Once the person who is helping takes control of the computer, the person who is being helped can only watch. They can, however, take control away from the helper whenever they choose to by clicking on a button. Can't quite remember what it says by it but it's quite obvious when you use it.

Not with Remote Desktop. When someone logs in, the computer will go to the Welcome (login) screen.

What you are confusing it with is Remote Assistance, then yes, it is how you describe.

OOPS! Yeah, guess I goofed (maybe). :) I read the post and for some reason was thinking remote desktop help. I guess the comment about wanting to train somebody to use a program got me off track and probably the title of thread. ;)

Unless..... guru123k has the two confused.

Wish MS would get out the habit of giving similar names to their programs. It can be quite confusing at times. Windows Messenger -Windows Messenging.   :D
