    Hi:

I have windows XP PRO on my work computer (host) and my home computer (client). They both are connected to the internet through a cable modem. My work computer has a lynksis wireless router hooked to it which one other computer feeds of of it for its internet connection. My firewall on the host has been set to allow remote connections as well as my client computer. Ive tried connecting using the computer name and also the ip address of the host, neither worked. Error message "remote sektop disconnected ". Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    chris

You have to set up port forwarding on the router so port 3389 is forwarded to the correct internal PC.

You might also consider a service like LogMeIn that will provide access to your desktop without you having to worry about port forwarding and issues regarding communicating through your internal network.
