I use Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe) to connect to work from home, both are XP. I have enabled file and print sharing and installed my home printer driver on my work pc. I can now print from all windows applications but have not been able to print from my ms-dos applications. I have tried every variation of the net use command that I can think of with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion?

    net use

The problem seems to be that my local printer is not a network printer. If I enter net use with no parameters, it lists my assigned pseudo drives, my currently assigned lpt1, and my local hard drive (\\TSCLIENT\C). My local printer has a share name of BrotherH.
    Example:
    ---------------------------------
    O:\>net use * \\tsclient\brotherh
    System error 87 has occurred.

    The parameter is incorrect.
    ----------------------------------
I have tried this format, with & without the persistent option, with lpt1 & lpt2 instead of the *, all get the same error. If i omit the \\tsclient it says "system error 67 network name cannot be found ".

Maybe it is just not supported.
