    Hello friends,

I have read many posts on this topic, but my problem is still not solved.

I have XP computer on which I have enabled Remote Desktop option. I want to RDP to this from my Windows Mobile phone, but the connection is not working. From my XP laptop I can ping my phone. Both the devices are locally connected to same wireless router. I have disabled firewall on XP.

    Any suggestions?

I've never tried that before... I just tried with my Windows 7 desktop and Windows Mobile 6.1 phone, and it worked first time.

I used the (local) IP address of my desktop.

I don't have an XP system around to try though.

    Yes,

It is fairly simple and straight, but for some reason it is not working for me. I am also using local addresses here. Is there any place to check log that can explain more details? I don't see anything in firewall log (if I enable firewall) or in event viewer.

My windows 7 is home edition, so there is no Remote Desktop on there.

Normally I'd say you'd have to run a telnet session to the target computer (with the RDP port specified) so you can check if a connection is attempted, but I don't think a command prompt is available on Windows Mobile?
