Based on what I can gather from This ZDNet Article the XP-Pro remote desktop is simply a limited version of Terminal Services that you can load on 2K.

And Microsoft has a Download that it says will install the client portion of Remote Destop on 9x/ME/NT/2K.

So, I think with the proper software loaded, you can probably do what you want to do.

Can't give specific help since I do use the Terminal Services feature from an XP-Pro PC to remote control servers but I do it via the Client Connection Manager as described Here. We got it as part of the Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit which you have to buy. I think it is also in the 2K Pro Resource Kit but you would have to buy that one as well. Although, FWIW, I think the cost of the book and the CD full of utilities is worth while if you are going to be managing either of these systems.

I did some more research, and I think that it doesn't support what I want to do.. You can remote control a server running terminal services b/c it has the host componants built in.. XP also has the host componants built in. Windows 2000 PRO does not (as far as I can tell). I have not been able to find a way to install the host peice, as the client you install from the XP CD is the Remote control client, not the host. ALL I need is the stoooopid HOST controls. errr
