    Hey guys,

I've set up RDC some time ago and it worked fine, even over WAN from school. Then, a few weeks ago, it just stopped working, at here's what's happening:

You can connect to the host easily enough, but as soon as the Please Wait... with the blue circle is gone and the Welcome with the circle appears the client freezes and after a minute or so the client tells you that it couldn't connect to the host.
Then, when you log on the host as a normal user the background will have gone black and all the little "eye-candy" as they like to call it will be gone. Only after a logoff and logon will it be back to normal. I've tried it in a LAN as well, but it doesn't work either.

Has anyone got an idea what could be going wrong here? I suppose it's the host, because the error is the same on every client I've used (and there's a few of them) and it gets as far as the Welcome.

    Every answer is appreciated!

I'm longing for your answer! :)

    Hi you all,

I've got a little update about the problem:

I started my PC and before I logged on I tried to log on over RDC. And it worked! I then tried logging off and on again from the client and it still worked! Then I tried disconnecting the session and reconnecting and it still worked! Now I have to try to have a local session running, lock it and try to connect to it, because otherwise it wouldn't use me much. Just wanted to give you an update :)

    Cheers!

Don't just "X" out of the session. You MUST Log Off to properly end a session.

    Hi peeps,

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden it connects fine, I don't know what I've fixed... I'm writing from one of the remote PCs right now!

Anyway, I think I can close this post although there isn't really a solution :)
