reinstalled Thunderbird and emails don't show up

    Helping a friend get his Win XP running better. One issue was TB wouldn't open up at all. Read on their site to download TB again and install it over the old one to repair it. And it wouldn't affect the emails and settings. I installed the new and now there's nothing in TB...clean space.

    Oops!:eek: :eek: Have you had a look in TB's Forum? I wouldn't imagine installing a new TB version would lose your emails. :confused:
    It would be like an update being applied. Neil.

    The new install probably created a new profile. Copy the Mail folder from the old profile to the new profile.
    C:\Documents and Settings\<Windows user name>\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>
