    I got a new computer with Windows XP. After a short time of using it I now getting the message: The winhlp32.exe binary in the Windows directory is corrupt, please reinstall "
    How do I reinstall it from the Windows XP CD?

    If "C" is your hard drive, and "D" is your CD-ROM, then:

    Run==> expand D:\i386\winhlp32.ex_ C:\Windows\winhlp32.exe

    In this use, either one is fine. Not case sensitive.

    Hi Abraxas,
    How would you restore this file if you don't have a Windows XP CD?
    In my case, I have an IBM Computer with Windows XP Home preloaded and I don't have a Windows XP CD.
    I am told that all Windows XP files are in C:\I386.
    Thanks

    If you have such a folder in C:, just substitute "C" for "D" above, so that both entries refer to your hard drive. If it is not there, it will tell you.

    :) That's just my little arrow. Same as Run: or Run--> ;)
    Just means go to the Run box.
