Registry_error

    I am working on a clients Dell 2400 with XP home on it. When i turn on the PC at the windows splash screen it goes to a Blue screen and gives me a Registry_error Stop 0x51. I have rad all the threads I can find without any help. They all tell me to go to the recovery console, but when I enter the number for C:windows it gives me the blue screen again. I have tried putting in another harddrive and get the same results. I switched out memory with no help. I cannot even reinstall XP because it gives me the same blue screen when I choose install new. Please help I am completely lost on this one. Thanks
