Registry Modification Events

Hi all

I foolishly downloaded Tuneup Utilities 2007 from an unofficial website and my PC is now on its knees. Lavasoft Adwatch is continually logging registry modifications and when I looked at the event log it had recorded some 28,000 registry event blocks - and counting!

There's far too many to post here but they are do with scvhost.exe. Not being technical, it doesn't mean a lot to me.

My PC is now extremely sluggish and unresponsive. I created a system restore point prior to installation and have since restored but to no avail.

Once again I have created a rod for my own back but would really appreciate any assistance in resolving this self inflicted problem.
