Registry Mechanic

Has anyone else used this program from PC Tools Software ?

I download it and ran it only AFTER making sure I had a recent RP.

It found about 20-25 items. Some were things that had even ( supposedly ) been uninstalled but apparently did a LOUSEY job of cleaning out the registry. Or maybe they had been installed more than once to different locations.

Locations of some things was also wrong. I must have moved them but the Reg did not follow.

I let it fix things up and restarted the machine. ( actuall shutdown )

WOW !! If I had not seen it personally I would never know how much cleaning up the reg could change the speed so much ( for the better ) This machine actually even BOOTS up a bit quicker.

My wild guess about that is the fact that the startup is no longer looking for stuff that is not there.

This propably should be Other Software. But I left my thinking cap at the Docs' office today.
