    Hey guys

Now before i start, ill let you all know i have previously gone thouroughly through this thread http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=38426 But this didn't solve it for my computer.

The only solution that worked in that thread was Doug Knox's wonderful Regtools.vbs

After applying this, i checked to see if i could access the registry, which worked fine! then, just to make sure, i closed it and opened it again the same way (through start>run>regedit) but that error message came up again "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator "

I dont understand this, this is my personal computer, and i am the only administrator. Please help anyone! :)

    Thanks everyone!

Click Start, Run and copy & paste the command below into the Run box then hit Enter.

    Code:
    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
