    Regisrty Edit Help Needed

    I have the exact problem as outlined in this article. One option suggest I run Installer Cleanup Utility. This didn't help.

    OL2000: Cannot Reinstall Outlook 2000 After Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional (Q308602)

    The other solution is to do the following:

    Locate the transform value under the following key in the registry, where Current_User is your user ID:

    HKEY_ Current_User \Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\{GUID}
    On the Edit menu, click Delete .

    I have five folders under HKEY_ Current_User \Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products. Two of them are the office cd's. I'm not sure if I should zap the whole folder or just the "transform" value within the folders.

    Guess if I can't spell registry I shouldn't be messing with it.:D

    Problem solved. I "renamed" the transform value and it solved the problem.

    Not too bad only having one problem after upgrading from WinME.
