Is there a way of making Firefox refresh pages automatically, like every 5 minutes or so?

    I don't ike to have keep pressing "F5 ".

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Alex,

There is no GUI for an autoReload, however; there is a Firefox Addon which will do the job: ReloadEvery

Let us know if this works for you...

    captjlddavis,

Thanks for sharing that setting. I know that there is a setting in Netscape and SeaMonkey, but I thought it had been eliminated in Fx. Should have known it would be in about:config. However, this wouldn't meet the refresh every 5 minutes, which is what Alex wants.

The second link looked a bit difficult, but the first worked a treat.

    Thanks a lot!

I can't see how the capt's link would help, if one wants to do it with a desired frequency.

The information in the link I posted would not help any IF you wanted to refresh all pages at a set interval. But why would you arbitrarily want to do that ?
The setting quoted by Moz Champion Dan
It just doesn't make any sense to me to refresh/reload the page if you are not viewing it.

    But that is just me

I wanted it because i like to keep an eye on a forum i'm a member of whilst working. So i wanted to autorefresh every 5 minutes without me having to manually press F5 or something. Make sense?

What you want makes sense. but unless I am not reading things right it is not necessary.

    The following is quoted from:

    Mozillazine.org

The default value = 3. I take this to mean that if you place focus on the page AND it is out of date it will be refreshed/reloaded.

If I am incorrect in this, can someone please reference the correct information.
