I'm guessing that this question has been answered before, but my searches don't turn up anything. I want to reformat the hard drive on an older laptop and reinstall XP. I have the original Windows disk (complete with SP1 :D) that came with the machine as well as the disk with all the drivers. I also have an XP SP2 disk.

What is the easiest way to accomplish my objective? I got the laptop from my daughter-in-law and I want to start with a clean hard drive.

    Thanks in advance.

That works. Thanks. When I first tried to reinstall, the computer wasn't set to boot from a CD. Once I changed that, the rest was easy.
