was having this problem before and came to this site and loaded up Shockwave as suggested.
This seemed to work but it has now gone back to not showing pictures again. What has gone wrong???

    Hi, Lady ~

Are you missing pictures such as JPGs, GIFs & BMPs or media files such as Shockwave & Flash?

Right click on the Toolbar of IE, select Links, Links should now appear, with a >> there. Click on the >> and then click on Toggle Images.

    Hi, Mark ~

There exists no 'Toggle Images' in IE6 - 'Links' only brings up a third unnecessary instance option of 'Favorites'. :(

I have just come home from work and checked my emails and opened this up and the pictures are back again!
Also checked my Yahoo Mail and the pictures are now showing even though I didn,t change anything so it all seems okay now.
    Thanks all! :D

I had forgotten about installing the Web Accessories, Power Tweaks and Web Developer Accessories , which allegedly does not work with IE6. They were installed with 5.5 and carried over into 6. So technically, they exist with my 6.

    Hi, Mark ~

Cool! I would like to know how you managed to get that to carry over!

I tried various ways but it won't work beyond IE5 - do tell, please!

BruceKrymow --Like markp62 I installed Web Accessories when I still had IE5x, and when I updated to IE6 they were still working (except for Image Links).
I have seen other reports that people who download Web Accessories even after installing IE6 have it work OK. But if it does not work for you, the only suggestion would be to revert to IE 5x, install Web Accessories, and then update again to IE6. But I doubt WA is worth all that time/work (especially if you have dialup), and there are so many fixes and patches for IE6 that it may also be risky if your IE6 is now working OK.

I installed them onto 5.5 SP2, then downloaded the IE6 SP1 setup files and installed it offline. They carried over during the upgrade. I would not recommend installing onto 6, haven't tried it myself. MS warns these are meant for versions of 5.
I have both versions saved for a future format.

I would also make sure that all the necessary codecs for viewing different file types are installed. Type in in Google: K-Lite Pak, and dl and install those codecs and you will have covered most of your needs. It is a free dl as well.
