Recycle Bin

    Hello all!

    I copy my documents folder to my D: every now and then as a backup.

    When I remove the previous copy (approx. 300 MB) it goes to the Recycle Bin.
    When I empty the RB it may take a minute or more before the system continues to respond.

    Is this typical of WinME?

    Before anyone asks, yes I have Norton Protected Recycle Bin but it is disabled and set to standard RB.

    Hi Christer
    I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes.... "It's normal. ". On two of my machines running Windows ME, when emptying a large amount from the recycle bin, the computer lags until it finishes.

    The first few times I thought it was freezing and I tried to close Windows but exercising some patienience will let it resume normal response.
