Recycle Bin Icon disappeared

I have Windows 98 and the Recycle Bin Icon has disappeared. How do I get it back?

Have you tried an autoarrange just to make sure it isn't playing hide_N_ go_seek off screen or behind another icon???

If it turns out not to be as simple as this I got a google bbs link that has some other ideas you try:

If none of these pan out just let me know and we can move on to the other problems that may cause this.

 

bthomas: If you have TweakUI, open it and then click on Desktop. Recycle Bin should be in the list to the right. See if the box is checked. If it isn't, click on the box to put a checkmark in it, click on OK and close TweakUI. Your Recycle Bin icon should reappear.

 

restart in msdos mode
type deltree /y C:\recycle~1
reboot (ctrl+alt+del)
