recovery partition

    Hi, I have a hp pavilion 754n (2.5) my os is winxp i have disk one with 2 partitions c: and use to be e:hp recovery partition,i don't know what happen i didn't delete anything i lost my recovery partition (vanish) and partition e: use to be recovery partition now is called " removable disk" There's any way to get my recovery partition back?...Thanks

    A couple things that might help everyone understand what you have are:

    1. Have you looked in Disk Managment to see what it says about the drives such as total size, number of partitions, any unallocated space? ...

    2. I assume you have a CD ROM drive and it's still functional, if so, what is it's drive designation? For that matter, how many drives in total do you have shown in Disk Manager? How many in My Computer?

    The odd things is, most HP Restore Partitions are coded as Hidden Drives and will not show up in My Computer. You say yours did... strange.
