    Hi all,

Epic Fail yesterday... One of my users has a Word document she uses as a HUGE list of general info. She was working on it yesterday and accidentally, well, deleted about 99% of the data...

    And then she saved it...

    And then she closed Word...

*SIGH* This file is on her PC, not a backed-up network drive. We have no older version to recover. So even though I'm 99% sure this is impossible, is there any way I can recover a previous version of this file for her?

I'm the IT Manager here, and I don't think this is possible, but I'm hoping y'all know something I don't. Otherwise, she's sunk...

    Thanks!

    Chris

Guessing that you've looked in Word->Tools->Options->Save to see if "always create backup" is enabled....(if not - enable it while you're there;))

I have not. If it IS checked when I go look, how should I proceed? And if it is NOT checked, she's *******, right?

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Very doubtful, but you might give Recuva a try.

    Shame, but a lesson learned?
