Does anyone have suggestions for a good, reliable, yet free anti-virus program?

    Thanks...

I've been using AVG free for the last few years, and nothing's slipped by it so far!
You can take a look at it at url]http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5[/url].
There's also a good help forum there, if you should ever need help figuring anything out relating to AVG.

My favorite free antivirus is avast
    Avast free antivirus

I like that the update updates both definitions and when they release a new version of the program will update the entire program too (while still retaining your settings) . It has many skin options (My preference is the Lite-on one which is fairly classic) to allow you to have the kind of interface you want. It has many great features and an updater which works , and that is important.

I also recommend a free trojan scanner/ remover
    A Squared trojan remover

    Along with
    Spybot search and destroy
    Ad aware personal form Lavasoft
    For spyware removal.
